Course Content

Module 1: Daily Routine and Free Time
Expand your vocabulary on daily activities, time, and frequency. Master reflexive verbs, modal verbs + infinitive, word order, and adverbs of frequency to precisely describe your daily routine.

Module 2: Travel and Transportation
Learn vocabulary for means of transport, travel, and movement. Focus on the verb "ići" (to go) in the present tense and the use of prepositions with destinations (u/na + Accusative) to talk about where you're going.

Module 3: Health and Body
Learn vocabulary for body parts, health issues, and symptoms. Master the verb "boljeti" (to hurt) and learn phrases for expressing feelings. Practice communicating with a doctor.

Module 4: Food and Grocery Shopping
Acquire vocabulary for groceries, shopping, and stores. Master expressing quantities + Genitive case and the negation with the Genitive. Practice communication skills needed when buying food.

Module 5: Work and Daily Obligations
Vocabulary for professions and workplaces, and daily work tasks. Review reflexive verbs in daily routines and master key modal verbs (must/can/need) to discuss your workday.

Module 6: Hobbies and Leisure Time
Vocabulary for hobbies and activities, and time expressions for frequency. Practice using the Present Tense to talk about hobbies and express your preferences clearly.

Module 7: Describing People and Character
Module Description: Vocabulary for physical appearance and personality traits. Master adjective agreement and the use of the verb "biti" (to be) with descriptive adjectives. Practice describing people in detail.

Module 8: Housing and Accommodation
Learn vocabulary for types of housing and rooms, furniture, and household items. Focus on the Locative case to accurately describe the location of items and talk about your home.

Module 9: Food and Cooking
Module Description: Expand vocabulary on types of food/drinks and the process of cooking and meals. Practice discussing food preferences and get an introduction to verb aspects in the context of cooking actions.

Module 10: Education and School System
Module Description: Learn vocabulary for types of schools and education, subjects, and materials. Practice discussing past education (using Past Tense) and formulating future plans related to education.

Module 11: Weather and Nature
Vocabulary for weather, seasons, and climate. Practice using the Present Tense to describe the current weather and converse about nature.

Module 12: Travel and Accommodation (Booking)
Review travel vocabulary and learn terms specific to accommodation and reservations. Focus on forming polite questions and using dates and numbers when booking a room or service.

Module 13: Present Tense (Habitual) vs. Present Tense (Current Actions)
Practice vocabulary for daily actions and current situations. Learn to contrast the use of the Present Tense for regular patterns versus actions happening now, ensuring correct usage.

Module 14: Past Tense – Regular and Irregular Verbs
Vocabulary for common past actions. Learn the formation of the Past Tense, distinguish between regular vs. irregular verbs, and practice forming questions and negations in the past.

Module 15: Modal Verbs - "Can", "Must", "Have to"
Vocabulary for daily actions and needs. Master modal verbs (moči, morati, trevat) + infinitive, practice polite and negative forms, and use them to discuss obligations and abilities.

Module 16: Comparatives and Superlatives
Practice common adjectives. Learn the formation of comparatives, including irregular comparatives, and superlatives to express the highest degree.

Module 17: Talking About the Future – “Going to” and “Will”
Vocabulary for future time expressions. Learn to express the future using "ići + infinitive" and "ću + infinitive", and understand the subtle difference between the two forms. Practice future plans and predictions.

Module 18: Expressing Opinion and Agreeing/Disagreeing
Module Description: Learn key phrases for expressing opinion. Practice the grammar needed to share, agree with, and disagree with opinions, and how to ask questions seeking someone else's view.

Module 19: Past Tense – Review and Practice
Vocabulary for past time expressions. Comprehensive recapitulation of the Past Tense (Perfect) formation, review the conjugation of the verb "biti" in the past, and practice forming negations and questions about past events.

Module 20: Final review
In this lesson, we review all the main topics from the A2 level and practice their application through dialogues and tasks, in order to prepare for the final exam.

Croatian A2 Level – Final Exam
This comprehensive final examination is designed to assess your proficiency and communicative competence in the Croatian language at the A2 level. The exam is structured into three key sections, directly mirroring the skills needed for the A2 level: 1. Listening Comprehension Module Description: Carefully listen to short audio tracks and clear, simple conversations on familiar course topics (eg, daily routines, travel plans, health symptoms, and making reservations). Demonstrate your understanding of main ideas and specific details within these everyday and common scenarios. 2. Reading (Reading Comprehension) Module Description: Read short, connected texts such as personal messages, job postings, simple articles, and descriptions of past or future events. Answer questions to prove understanding of the core information and key details related to topics like work, hobbies, travel, and personal opinions. 3. Writing (Writing) Module Description: Write a short, meaningful text or a brief essay on a given topic, utilizing the vocabulary and grammar learned at the A2 level (including Past Tense, Comparatives, and Modal Verbs). The goal is to demonstrate the ability to formulate cohesive sentences and short messages about familiar themes, expressing your opinion or describing a past experience.
