Course Content

Module 1: Past, present and future
In this lesson, we learn how to talk about personal past and present, make plans for the future, and use past and future tenses in everyday situations.

Module 2: Past Experiences and Storytelling
In this lesson, we learn to describe past experiences, use different past tenses in the context of a story, and correctly use time conjunctions such as als, während, and nachdem.

Module 3: Workplace and business obligations
In this module, we learn to describe our workplace and daily tasks, use modal verbs in the present and past tense, and talk about work obligations and responsibilities.

Module 4: Writing a CV and Cover Letter
In this lesson, we learn how to write a resume and cover letter, describe your qualifications and experience, and use the Subjunctive II for polite and formal expressions in a letter.

Module 5: Education and the school system
In this module, we learn to talk about education and the school system, describe our own education, use "dass" sentences, and correctly conjugate verbs in complex sentences.

Module 6: Travel and Adventure
In this module, we learn to describe travel and adventures, use vocabulary for planning and describing travel, correctly use prepositions with the accusative and dative cases, and use separable verbs in the context of travel.

Module 7: Health and Lifestyle
In this module, we learn to describe health conditions and habits, talk about nutrition, fitness, and stress, use sentences with "wenn" and "weil", and correctly use reflexive verbs in everyday speech.

Module 8: Culture and Hobbies
In this module, we learn to talk about cultural content and hobbies, express personal preferences, use adjectives in the comparative and superlative forms, and compose relative clauses for additional descriptions.

Module 9: Social Issues and Expressing Opinions
In this module, we learn to talk about social problems and express opinions, conduct simple discussions, use the Subjunctive II to express attitudes, and construct indirect sentences.

Module 10: Environment and Sustainability
In this module, we learn to talk about environmental protection and sustainable practices, use passive sentences in the present and past tense, and acquire key vocabulary related to ecology and climate change.

Module 11: Technology and digital life
In this module, we learn how to talk about devices and the internet, correctly use prepositions for time and place, and use the perfect tense with technical verbs in everyday speech.

Module 12: Description of places and comparisons
In this module we learn how to describe places, cities and villages, compare people and objects, and use the comparative, superlative and the constructions wie and als for comparisons.

Module 13: Expressing opinions and leading discussions
In this module, we learn how to express our opinion, agree and disagree, use phrases to lead a discussion, correctly build sentences with dass and ob, and use the Subjunctive II to politely express disagreement.

Module 14: Habits, rules and tips
In this module, we learn to talk about everyday habits and rules, express advice and recommendations, and use modal verbs in the past tenses – Perfect and Präteritum.

Module 15: Emotions and coping with stress
In this module, we learn to name and describe emotions, talk about the causes of stress and ways to deal with it, use reflexive verbs in the accusative and dative cases, and understand the difference between weil and denn.

Module 16: Media and reporting
In this module, we learn to talk about different types of media, understand and comment on news, use the passive voice in everyday contexts, and apply the Subjunctive I for direct and indirect transmission of information.

Module 17: Technology and everyday life
In this module, we learn to talk about the role of technology in everyday life, describe devices and applications, use time-dependent sentences (als, wenn, während), and practice the correct word order in complex sentences.

Module 18: Environment and Sustainability
In this module, we learn to talk about environmental problems and sustainable solutions, expand vocabulary related to the environment and consumption, use infinitive constructions such as "um ... zu" and "ohne ... zu", and create and explain proposals in speech and writing.

Module 19: Past and future tenses
In this module, we review and compare the main verb tenses: Perfect, Präteritum, and Futur I, learn to use tense determiners and conjunctions, and develop the ability to correctly coordinate tenses in speech and writing.

Module 20: Final review and exam preparation
In this final module, we review key topics and grammatical structures of the B1 level, prepare for the test through listening, reading, and writing exercises, and learn how to structure responses in speaking and writing.

German B1 Level – Final Exam
This final exam is designed to assess your knowledge of the German language at the B1 level. The exam consists of three key parts: Hören (Listening with Comprehension): Listen carefully to audio recordings that include the main points of clear standard speech on familiar topics (such as work, school, leisure), as well as personal stories, arguments and opinions. Show your understanding of essential information and attitudes. Lesen (Reading with Comprehension): Read texts written in everyday language (e.g. personal letters, simple newspaper articles, blog posts, short reports) on familiar topics. Answer questions to show that you understand the main idea, the author's position and specific details. Schreiben (Writing an essay/text): Write clear and coherent texts on familiar topics or topics of personal interest. The aim is to demonstrate your ability to describe experiences and events, express and justify opinions, and use the vocabulary and grammar learned at the B1 level.
